Landline

I only use a landline phone at work, so when I was at my parent's house using theirs, I kept dailing "9" to get out.  But really what I was doing was racking up expensive over seas calls.  Whoopth.

best blog ever

I was looking through a bunch of my old blogs. Oh, I'll start doing work at work one of these days.

And I found this: http://gilmoregurlz.blogspot.com/2007/03/shut-up-chris-singel.html

And I think it's the best blog I have ever written.  Suhr-iously.

Notes on Florida

People in Florida like to drive like maniacs.

They also like to drive trucks with unsecure stuff in the back, like chairs, and huge piles of wood. And you will get nervous because they will be driving 90+ miles per hour.

There are a LOT of cows here.

When you book a room by the beach because you think it looks cute and relaxing, you will be wrong because it will actually be a place where spring breakers stay, and they will yell and run around all night.  And you will want to call the front desk and get the kids to be quiet.  Then you will feel super old, and bad.  But still you have to work the next day.

Besides the spring breakers there is a SERIOUS amount of old people.  They will do things SERIOUSLY slow, like look for their CVS rewards card for upwards of 10 minutes.

When left to my own devices I will eat Tostitos alone in my hotel room for dinner.

Now that's what I call...

An emotional roller coaster.

Last night I competed in Washington Improv Theater's FIST  tournament. You know the one that I was bragging about winning last year?  Well, I lost last night.  In the first round.

And I was all grumpy and disappointed.

I was blow drying, may hair this morning and when I flipped it over and it was all soft and awesome looking, I thought, "Thanks for throwing me a bone today, Universe. I appreciate it."

Then I found out two really good friends got engaged! TO EACH OTHER!  And I was like, "This is a big helping of perspective. Waaaaay more important things than FIST. Universe, you are so good at teaching lessons."

About an hour ago I got a call from my aunt.

My mom's mom, my grandmother is in the hospital. They think she had a stroke. My aunt found her lying unconscious on the floor this morning.

PERSPECTIVE!!

Define Over Committed.

I am performing five times this weekend.

Tonight @ 9:30 pm for Washington Improv Theater's FIST (fighting improv smackdown tournament).  It is my group "The Coven" first round.

And if you remember, I WON the tournament last year, which leads to the next performance on Friday at 8 pm.  Where last year's champions "Not Mad. Disappointed." takes a final victory lap.

And for an encore on Friday @ 10:00 pm night I perform at GW receS's Slate Festival.  My alma mater of course.  I have no clue if there is a link.

Saturday night, I perform twice with WIT ensemble groups, one with onesixityone at 8:00 pm and then a show with Caveat @ 9:30 pm. Links embedded and what not.

Have I mentioned that I am the WORST GIRLFRIEND EVER?

How?!?!?!!?!?

From this article: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/03/us/03marry.html?ref=us

"The study found that, overall, 62 percent of women ages 25 to 44 were married and 8 percent were cohabiting. Among men, the comparable figures were 59 percent and 10 percent."

How?! How are the figures different?  If they are 'cohabitating' and marrying each other.  How?1?!?

And before you are all like, what about the gays.  They took care of that:

"The authors define cohabitation as people who live with a sexual partner of the opposite sex."

So the question remains HOW?!?! How are more women cohabitating with men, than men are?
